We have been told our whole lives that we are walking toward something. That is the first lie. A path creates distance, and distance creates time, and time creates the belief that you will arrive later. But later is just a thought, and a thought cannot take you anywhere real. There is no spiritual path. There is only the ordinary ground of reality beneath your feet right now. Seeking is the cage. Trying is the bars. Every spiritual map is drawn by someone who forgot that the territory is here. We love paths because paths give us something to do. Doing feels like progress. Progress feels like safety from the simple terror of sitting still and noticing that nothing is wrong. Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness. You were never broken.
