You are not the thinker of your thoughts | Aswin Sundharam | Romancelovesophy

The mind is not in control. You think you are—but that’s the mind’s greatest trick. Thoughts just appear. You don’t choose them. Raise your hand right now. Did you decide, or did the urge simply arise? The mind claims credit after the fact. That’s not self-awareness. That’s a liar wearing a crown. In my philosophy—the Path of Reality—the mind is just a function, not a ruler. And believing you’re in control is the root of all anxiety, regret, and suffering. When you truly see there’s no little king on a throne, something collapses. The fight stops. Not because you let go—but because there was never anyone holding on. This isn’t helplessness. This is freedom through presence. You still plan. You still act. But the hum of “Am I doing this right?” just fades. Life happens. Smoothly. Peaceful
