The ego is not your enemy. The real trap is dressing it in spiritual clothes. We trade the old wardrobe of ordinary problems for a new one: seeking, meditating, becoming. Same ghost, better costume. Most of what we call spirituality is just the mind rearranging itself. We believe we are losing the ego when we are actually giving it a promotion. A seeker is still a self.
