You believe you have an ego. I say the ego has you. It is not your enemy. It is a survival tool — a story the mind creates to protect the body and navigate the world. The trouble begins when the story believes it is the author. Thoughts, memories, and emotions become a character called "me." But look closely. Who watches this character? You are not the story. You are the awareness in which it appears. The ego is a wave. You are the ocean in which even waves come and go. Follow the message. Not the messenger.
