Science buried the lead on consciousness. They told us the brain produces awareness, like the liver produces bile. Clean. Simple. My understanding is: the brain is an object. It appears in pictures, in scans, in anatomy charts. But the awareness that sees those objects cannot be one of them. A screen is not inside the movie. Your brain is the movie.
