We have all done something we cannot take back. A real crack. Not a story the mind tells to feel bad, but an actual event that changed things. And we have all been told that love or art or God can reach back and fix it. That is a lie. A beautiful ghost story, but still a story. God won't fix what you broke. Neither will love. Neither will art. The past is not a house you can re-enter. It is a burned field. You can walk over it. You cannot uncrack the cup. This is not cruelty. This is the shape of reality. The substratum beneath all your guilt and hoping is just what happened. Nothing more. Nothing less. So stop waiting to be saved. Sit in the silence of your own broken thing. No redemption is coming. That is the point. When you finally stop screaming into the ghost, you might notice some
