Spirituality Is Belief Dressed Up as Wisdom
2 months ago
We spend years collecting spiritual beliefs, dressing them up as wisdom. A belief about reality is not reality. It is furniture in the mind. We mistake the map for the ground. Here is the dark truth we avoid. Spirituality is just belief wearing a robe. We believe in progress. We believe in awakening. We believe in paths and stages and teachers. But a belief requires a believer, and a believer is a fiction. There is no one inside you holding opinions about reality. There is only reality itself. The substratum. The ground. Everything else is noise the mind calls spiritual. So stop collecting better beliefs. Stop replacing one piece of furniture with another. Sit in silence. Let the believer dissolve. What remains was never missing. It is just too ordinary for the mind to notice. . . . . .
