Pain Arrives, but Suffering Stays | Aswin Sundharam | Romancelovesophy

Pain is inevitable. Loss, failure, rejection—these are real. But suffering is what the mind adds on top. It begins when you take a painful event and wrap it in a story: "I am a failure. This always happens to me. My future is ruined." Each time you replay that story, you reopen the wound, just like constantly picking at a cut until it becomes far worse than it ever needed to be. The mind does this automatically—not because you want to suffer, but because it runs on habit. It repeats familiar patterns without your permission. You cannot simply switch it off. So even though suffering is born from interpretation, it feels unavoidable. The patterns are deeply conditioned. Awareness of this is the first crack in the cycle. . . . . . . . . . . . #SelfAwareness #MindsetShift #InnerPeace #Personal
